How did the buffalo wing get invented?

On March 4, 1964, the wing was born in the Anchor bar in Buffalo NY.

They were created when Teressa Bellissimo who owned the Anchor Bar with her husband experimented with an unused part of the chicken - the wing.  She smothered them in a spicy sauce and served them with blue cheese and celery.  Even Mrs. Bellissimo's son, Dominic, wasn't sure about trying the dish.  His friends loved it and returned often to the Anchor Bar for this delectable dish.

Why are buffalo wings called BUFFALO wings?

For you guys who didn't know this already, buffalo wings were invented in Buffalo, NY.  Buffalo, NY was named after the hordes of big furry beasts that lived there.

Buffalo wings at 99 restaurant

I was nervous as we pulled into the 99 Restaurant in Andover.  I was anxious to try what wings would taste like here.

The verdict.  VERY,VERY SPICY.  a  little crispy, not drenched in sauce

Maybe it's because of the bragging on the wall ("Maybe we didn't invent buffalo wings but we sure perfected them"), but these wings didn't live up to my expectations.

Walk the Line Wings at chunky's cinema, haverill, MA

It was pouring rain so we went to Chunky's to see Madagascar 3.  While we were there I decided to try some wings.

The verdict.  They were very crispy, drenched in sauce, served with bleu cheese dip If my dad would have let me, I would have gotten seconds.(and thirds)
